DJ Augustin Basketball Camp

The DJ Augustin Basketball Camp provides the foundation for boys ages 8-15 to develop and improve their basketball skills. Boys of all ability levels are welcome, and the camp will offer a positive, encouraging teaching environment to learn and have fun. The camp will provide the tools to become a better player and help stimulate enthusiasm for the game. This year’s camp will take place from August 2nd-5th at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans.

ages 8-15. Campers may not be high school graduates.

􀂄 Participate in basketball skills contests
􀂄 Hear presentations from guest speakers, including NBA players

What must I bring to camp?
􀂄 Basketball clothes — wear T-shirt or jersey, shorts,
socks and basketball shoes
􀂄 A good attitude

What is a typical day at camp?
8:00-9:00 a.m. (Monday, August 2 only) — Registration
8:45-9:00 a.m. — Campers arrive and open play
9:00-9:20 a.m. — Attendance and stretching
9:20-11:30 a.m. — Stations/fundamentals
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. — Lunch (no lunch will be served on the camp’s final day because of noon dismissal)
12:30-1:00 p.m. — Video instruction
1:00-1:50 p.m. — Competition
1:50 p.m.-2:00 p.m. — Camp announcements, awards and dismissal

Tuition
Free to all campers.
NOTE: There is no child care available after camp.
Late fees will be assessed to campers picked up more than
10 minutes after the conclusion of a camp session.

Hope John get the opportunity to attend the camp. He is a big fan of DJ’s and is learning the game from some of the same coaches as he did. He works out 6 days a week with some of the top players in the city. He does well in school and on the court and is real interested in learning from those who have succeeded in life. Thanks
